Still About Japan

If you are tired about Japan then please skip. I really miss Japan.

It started with worrying about them and then we reconnected. I never felt so good in the past few days affecting my enthusiasm as a freelance writer. I tried my luck to contact my old students and one of my favorite students, Sam replied. Thank God! Some of them changed their addresses. Well its been a long time. Hearing from one student is a big thing for me.

Please don’t stone me but I miss my life in Japan. Yes it was kind of lonely but I love my independence and my self-worth. I met many people from different countries and it opened my perspective. I loved Philippines more when I was there.

I took this photo on my first day in Yokohama. Still fresh from UP Visayas 🙂

I came there during spring time, just in time for the sakura ( cherry blossom). Taken from Negishi Park, Yokohama.

My sister took me to Minato Mirai ( one of the main districts in Yokohama). This is the Aka Renga Park ( Red Brick). Used to be a military structure used by the Germans. Now, it is used as shops and restos with a nice view of the port. The flower formations are part of their exhibitions. They also have car shows in this area. Nice isn’t it.

This angle is not good. hehe. But this is the center of Yokohama. All earthquake-proofed buildings. Made to dance with the quakes. That big building is the Landmark Tower. It reminds of the movie “Lord of the Rings”. I love walking in this area.

Yamashita Park, still in Yokohama. It sits right in front of the harbour. Lovely place to think about many things.

I love this photo. My ate and I got lost in the train from Shinjuko to our nearest station from home. I think it took us 45 minutes. Vivid memories of the train attendant giving us a map of their train system. Well, it was part of the adventure. Good thing I had a pack of Jelly Beans in my bag. haha

With all these photos and memories, no one can blame me if I’m missing one of the best places I have been to. Someday, I will be taking my sons especially my eldest, Akira and wander around in this beautiful country. If you have read until the end of this post, then rest assured that my next entry will be about Japan. ( again! 🙂 )

Thanks for keeping me company….
