I know its quite a buzz now but Japan is close to my heart. Before I became a freelance writer, I was living in Japan. After graduation, I joined my newly-wed sister in Yokohama and after countless efforts to land a teaching job, I became an Assistant Language Teacher.
Its been more than 5 years now since I left Japan and since that earthquake, tsunami and nuclear plant blasts, I can’t help but to think of my friends and my students.
Now my older sister is planning to “evacuate” here in the Philippines. She loves our country so much that she chose the Philippines over the United States. She is married to an American.
Pardon the low resolution of these photos. I only used my mobile phone and again, these photos are at least 5 years old.
I have my own boys now and my heart is sinking right now just thinking of these boys. He is Tomoaki, one of my most attentive students in Ishihara, Chiba. I forgot the names of those boys at the back but they are all charming boys. I know by now they are already working in Tokyo or in Chiba City. I hope they are fine .sigh.
Kaori and Yuki. They were supposed to join a English speaking competition and I was training them for that event. I hope they are fine. These girls too are for sure working now in the main cities..sigh
On my last day, my co-teacher at the Kamo Junior High School treated to a wonderful Japanese dinner.
Here I am with the rest of my co-teachers.why do I miss you now?
