When I was younger ( which is not that many years ago by the way), I always equate Davao with the Philippine Eagle and durian. When I finally visited this progressive city for the first time in 2012, I discovered how beautiful it is – a place to visit if you love the outdoors and the sun and I’m glad to write about it for two different travel magazines.
This weekend, I will be traveling again to Davao for Davao Food Appreciation Tour 2014 organized by Davao bloggers from May 16-19. Such a shame that I am ignorant when it comes to Davao dining and this is the perfect tour for your travel writer.
Not just for local cuisine or eating like a local, this tour will showcase the best of Davao dining scene. Checking our schedule, it will be eating with good company with other bloggers across the country.
Here are some of our sponsors and partners and I’m looking forward enjoying their dishes.
Park Inn by Radisson Davao, which is also my hotel sponsor for my first two nights in Davao.
CACAO DE DAVAO, a local cacao producer and chocolate maker. Chocoholics alert!
CLAUDE’S CAFE DAVAO is a European restaurant in serving traditional French, Mediterranean, and regional European dishes prepared by their French chef.
And for Filipino seafood cuisine, we have YELLOW FIN SEAFOOD RESTAURANT. I love seafood in Davao. Can’t wait to enjoy grilled panga ( tuna jaw) and kinilaw.
Davao Food Appreciation Tour 2014 is also brought by Smart Communications and the following sponsors and partners:
San Miguel Brewery
The White House Fusion Cuisine and Wine Lounge
Sea Green Cafe and Lifestyle Shop
