BAGBNB: The World’s First Luggage Storage Network

Luggage can be both literally and figuratively an excess baggage to our trips. You’ll often find yourself looking for a place to temporarily store your luggage while you’re on tour or on a business trip. Leaving luggages in storage areas is what frequent and expert travelers do. Though most hotels and accommodations offer storage, they won’t accommodate before your check in or the rate might not be that affordable.

In my case, I have left our luggage at the airport while waiting for our final hotel confirmation. It was not just expensive to pay for the luggage but the hassle and taxi fare in getting our luggage back.

Sometimes, I get lucky. Like when we had our trip from Ilocos Norte and chose to spend at least a few hours in Vigan. It was nice of the restaurant for keeping our luggages while we enjoyed Calle Crisologo. But how often can I get lucky?

Im glad that BAGBNB is finally here in the Philippines. I have heard the luggage storage network – BAGBNB from other intrepid travelers and when checking the Philippines, they have two storage places in Makati City. Great for our next trip to the capital region!

So what is BAGBNB?

Unlike luggage storage companies, BAGBNB is a network and I think that makes all the different. It has tapped cafe, bistro, and offices to accommodate travelers who want to leave their luggages behind while they are on walking tour or running between meetings.

Even if your hotel let you store your luggage after check-out, your hotel location can be far from the nearest station where you will depart to your destination. BAGBNB offers more flexibility and convenience to your travel itinerary that you don’t have to spend time and money just to retrieve your luggage from your hotel.

Don’t worry, these so-called “ANGELS” are checked and approved. You’ll find them close to major train stations or hotels. In the case of Makati City, there are two storage places – inside Glorietta 2 Mall and 50 meters from a bus station.

BAGBNB is now offered in 20 countries with storage networks available in Bangkok, Vancouver and Paris. If you are traveling in Europe, BAGBNB has built a bigger network of luggage stories in different countries from Italy to Russia. Check out the number of storage places (as of this writing) in some of the key cities.

I checked their site and there are plenty of places for Europe especially Italy. This is great news for budget travelers and those looking for ways to maximize their travels even when on a long-term journey. Imagine living your luggages in a particular city while you travel (with a lighter bag) in other nearby destinations.  Traveled between Malaysia and Singapore, I can see how beneficial this business is for today’s travelers. I’m looking forward they can build networks in Asia like for Hong Kong and Japan.

How much does it cost to use BAGBNB?

Now let’s talk about the price. I read one review and it mentioned the affordability of the service. True enough, it only costs Php350($7) per bag in the Philippines. I think it is quite reasonable given that I don’t have to travel back and forth just to claim my luggage.

But I think the highlight is how you can search and book online. BAGBNB has their own online payment, with PAYPAL also accepted. I think this is very timely and doable for international travelers.

Visit BAGBNB to check where you can drop and safely store your belongings for your next travel.

Happy travel!
