Looking for new routes from Negros to Cebu, we agreed to go for Escalante-Tabuelan. Never seen these places and it was definitely my first time. My brother is right, Tabuelan is like Guimaras Island. It is very untouched and for some, it is a backward town but for others like me, it is a retreat.
I have here photos as we approach Tabuelan
I truly appreciate how its waters are very clean and its cliffs and other natural formations truly picturesque. Some say there is not a lot to see and do in this sleepy town in northern Cebu. As we exit the port, I saw at least two heritage homes ( they were labeled). We didn’t bother to stop for we were seasick and in a hurry to go home 🙂
But for sure, I can say that Tabuelan is one place to go if you look for a place where it is free from massive traces of commercialization. I hope to explore this town in the future!
