Three Destinations to Include on your Next European Trip

Europe is one of the most diverse and exciting destinations to travel to in the world. The continent is extremely well connected, making it easy to discover many different parts on the same trip. No matter whether you’re travelling alone, with a partner or as a family, you will never be short of things to do or places to see in this part of the world.

But with so many different options to choose from, it can be difficult to narrow down your choices and find just the right spots for you and your travel companions. If this sounds familiar, fear not. We’ve done all the hard work for you and whittled down the shortlist to just three places you can’t afford to miss off your itinerary on your next European adventure. All
that’s left for you to decide is which place you’ll visit first.

Cyprus

The island paradise of Cyprus has long been on the radars of international tourists seeking sun, sand and relaxation. Floating in the eastern Med, there is so much to see and do here for travellers with all different preferences and personalities, from history buffs to beach dwellers.

While the island is renowned for its world-class nightlife scene, there is plenty more to discover beyond the disco lights of Ayia Napa. Cyprus is home to some of Europe’s best beaches, and the coastline is dotted with an array of sandy stretches tailor-made for young families, thrill-seekers and sun-worshippers alike.

Away from the beaches, you can immerse
yourself in the island’s fascinating history and discover some of the sites that depict island life in a bygone era. Whatever you decide to do in Cyprus, you certainly won’t leave disappointed.

Dubrovnik, Croatia

With the same climate as nearby Italy, this fascinating walled city is an interesting alternative for a city break. With fascinating sights to see, a beautiful harbour and plenty of nightlife, Dubrovnik is a great option if you want to avoid the more tourist-heavy Mediterranean destinations.

Much of its beauty can be admired by simply taking a stroll around the stone walls that encircle the city. Or, you can take a trip back through time and learn more about Dubrovnik’s tumultuous past, detailed in the fortifications and architecture of the Old Town.

While in Croatia, why not embark on an Adridatic island hopping adventure? The Dubrovnik archipelago is home to some of the smaller islands, away from the tourism-induced hustle and bustle of the mainland. Or, head further north and explore the more well-known islands like Hvar, Pag and Brač.

Paris

Visiting Paris is something everyone should have on their bucket list. Sure, it’s a great city for couples, but its amazing restaurants and range of activities make it a great place to visit with any travel companion. Uncover some of the most iconic landmarks in the world, brave a trip up the Eiffel Tower or spend your time shopping; there’s so much choice that you’ll never run out of things to do.

And of course, the pièce de résistance is the city’s incredible transport connections. The French capital is an excellent set-off point to explore mainland Europe and the UK, with an advanced railway network and regular flights linking the city with its continental neighbours.
