Living in Iloilo, Bacolod will always be the best idea to enjoy a trip without going too far. With my kids, there is only one hotel in Bacolod for us over the years – L’Fisher Chalet– but I wanted to stay at the first hotel, L’Fisher Tower I, for a change.
Alas, our car had a problem as soon as we arrived in Bacolod and we were just lucky that my good old car, Sally, still brought us to the hotel with her engine dying every now and then. Therefore, our plan to visit Bantug Lake Ranch and Lakawon Island had to take a setback.
And there is only one thing to do to avoid ruining our planned semestral break vacation – staycation. With L’Fisher’s amenities and location, we did beyond fine and the kids had a great time.
Location
L’Fisher is located along Lacson Street, the city’s main street where everything particularly restaurants are just a short walk. To name a few, across is Calea and Chicken Inasal if you want more options on top of L’Fisher’s dining venues like Ripples and C’s Cafe.
For those traveling with kids, the hotel is close to the Lagoon for your kids to enjoy a safe open space. Nearby is a local zoo. The hotel is also close to malls like SM Bacolod. To cut the story short, I think L’Fisher has the best location in Bacolod.
Lobby and Room
Tagged as the top leisure hotel in Bacolod, guests will feel the affluent vibe of the property as soon as you find yourself within the realm of its lobby. The lobby is the quickest access to Ripples where buffet breakfasts are served. At night, the piano serenades guests.
On its 26th year, L’Fisher Hotel is well-maintained and at its best shape. Our room is just on the 2nd floor and it is fascinating to watch the activities at the lobby.
Rooms are more spacious compared to L’Fisher Chalet, great for my kids.
As a freelance writer, I like it when hotels have big working stations.
The bathroom is tidy with the right amenities. Our room has a tub, to the delight of my kids.
Amenities and Facilities
As Bacolod’s premier hotel, L’Fisher has a wide array of facilities like conference halls, a casino, spa, and gym. But for traveling families like us, their Rooftop Deck is the best. I like their pool, with a separate kiddie pool.
My kids are can swim and they prefer to enjoy the adult pool with a swim-up pool bar.
We never miss ordering their pizza while here. During our stay, L’Fisher offered coupons like free pitcher of iced tea for every pizza or free coffee for every cake at C’s Cafe. Moms might want to avail their promos at their Cocoon Spa.
Our vacation seemed to be ruined with my broken car but thanks to L’Fisher, my kids were having a great time. Well, the only thing kid2 wailed was that we had to go home after 3 days.
Thank you for the 2nights and 3 days of fun, L’Fisher! Definitely, the best hotel to stay in Bacolod for families!
