I know you often find yourself wanting to get out of the city yet you are lazy to “travel”. Sounds a little bit ironic, but many individuals experience this, explaining why staycations are such a great hit in many urban places.
In our case, I’m glad to finally spent a night at Adhara Hotel of Anhawan Resort. Located in Oton, it is less than 30 minutes from the city of Iloilo. Great for both residents or those with visitors coming. Been in Anhawan Resort countless times but it was our first time to enjoy Adhara, it is more exclusive and secluded.
You will feel the exclusivity of the hotel, the moment you walk inside its premises. I love how quiet it is and spacious for kids to roam around. Added touch is their aviary. Here are my boys feeding their resident turkeys..
They also have peacocks too. We had a chance to get closer to the birds, feeding, petting their youngs, and holding these eggs. I’m not sure what this egg is – peacock? or turkey?
Their pool. It has a kiddie pool but the water gets too hot at noon.
Pools are always great to release your kids’ energies..
Facing their vast lawn and the beach ( you can see Guimaras Island too!), their pool area is a great place to hang-out or just lounge.
Post-swimming means taking a nap. I failed to take shots of our rooms – my kids ruined the arrangement. My husband likes that the beds are very big. The rooms are spacious too. Look at their lovely suites and other accommodations..
My favorite thing about Adhara Hotel is their space. It is my main requirement because I have two boys. They are free to run around. While waiting for dinner and enjoying the sunset, they played hide-and-seek.
Adults or those without kids can relax at their gazebos.
We had our dinner at the gazebo. Relaxing for families, romantic for couples.
With their space, I think companies can hold their team-building activities at Adhara Hotel.
I love the stillness of the resort at night..
Had a great sleep and kids can’t wait to swim in the beach. I took this photo while waiting for our breakfast. After breakfast, they were free to enjoy the calm beach. They also caught a crab, but had to let it go back to the sea.
Another lovely space at Adhara..
and the reception area
From their massive space, I’m glad to finally find a resort where my family can retreat even when we are pressed for time or lack energy to drive far. If you have visiting relatives and friends, let them stay at Adhara. Or enjoy family time here. You will appreciate that it is free from noise and the surrounding views are therapeutic.
Father’s Day is coming up. Why not treat your Dad or the Dad of the house to a nice weekend getaway at Adhara Hotel! For more details, visit their site AdhawanBeachResort.com.
