Bacolod’s Ripples Restaurant

October is the time for Bacolod City to shine. This month, this sweet city will celebrate one of the rising festivals in the country, the Masskara Festival. As a freelance writer, I would like to share to you a nice place to eat in Bacolod City.

Ripples restaurant is one of the most famous restaurants in Bacolod City. If you want to break free from eating chicken inasal ( a local specialty), this restaurant is the place to go. The ambiance is more of a formal setting as it is housed in L’Fisher Hotel, Bacolod City’s top accommodation choice.

Sadly, I was a little uncomfortable in Ripples restaurant since I have a sick toddler and a newborn dining with us.  Ripples is more suitable for couples or those who don’t have to tag along young children. But please don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to present this restaurant as “unfamily-friendly”. In fact, I recommend this restaurant.

In fairness to them, I love the food and the service. The waiter was kinda cute (wink!). Few seats and service was very personalized. Waiters knew their menu from the heart. And the place is perfect for elegant dining. So let me share some photos.

SEAFOOD CURRY: A must try! I love this dish and it was not hot. I refrain from eating foods with curry outside of my own kitchen. I'm afraid I can't handle the taste. But this one was cooked just right.

Grilled Blue Marlin Steak: Hubby's order. I think he wanted meat but I urged him to have fish since we were gorging Sisig and Bullalo at Chalet ( our hotel)

Dinner was light since we skipped anything meat. And of course, we always end our meal with a sweet dessert. But we opt to have them at Calea for some mouth-watering ice cream cakes.
