Dimsum Afternoon Tea

Sometimes, simple pleasures mean perfecting your first batch of lumpia ( spring rolls) – yes, I YouTubed how to properly make the rolls! I was inspired to cook lumpia from the recent food tasting for The Promenade’s Dimsum Afternoon Tea.

Days Hotel Iloilo is one of the answers when it comes to where to eat in Iloilo, preparing dishes from different cuisines at their in-house restaurant, The Promenade.  And now, they offer Dimsum dishes for this season’s summer afternoons.

From my all-time favorites, spare ribs and chicken feet ( yum right? 😉 ), we sampled all their siomais – nori to mushrooms.

Just because it’s summer doesn’t mean you skip noodle soups. This is their beef noodle soup using fresh noodles.  I think I discovered the spice that makes that special flavor of beef noodle soup- anise!
