Ayala Center Cebu plays a huge part of my high school life. Back in my teenage years, my jeepney terminal was located in Ayala and to go there, we have to go inside the mall. This is the reason why no matter how much the mall has changed, my feet still know to navigate the area.
After more than 2 decades, Ayala Malls opened Ayala Central Bloc last December 6, 2019 right in the middle of Cebu IT Park. Like most Cebuanos, I also worked for a few months in one of the call centers in IT Park. Oh, how much it has changed!
With its area of 27 hectares and home to many call centers and businesses, it is just right for workers and residents of Cebu IT Park to have their own mall.
Ayala Central Bloc is a five-level mall with 200 shops.
After our check out at Marco Polo Plaza Cebu, we paid a visit to Cebu’s newest mall. Navigation is made easier with interactive directions, telling you how to get to the shop you’re looking for.
Roaming around, I noticed there are will be no department store – just all shops and boutiques. Just like Ayala Center Cebu, Metro supermarket is present.
Catering to young professionals of IT Park and condo residents, Central Bloc has lots and lots of food venues. I love the interiors of their Food court – it has an industrial feel to it.
Enjoying my iced latte at Bo’s Coffe Primo. I still have to visit Starbucks Reserve.
Above all, there are two things I love the most about Central Bloc as of now – their parking and their Chapel.
Freedom from low-ceiling basement parking! Yehey!

For tourists and visitors, a 214-room Seda hotel is within the complex and set to open on February 1, 2020 with an opening rate of Php4,560 for Deluxe Room.
