No visitor will have a problem when it comes to looking for restaurants in Japan. Trying Japanese food of course like other destination is a must, but it will be great if you try dining in homegrown dining venues. One of the restaurant you may want to try if you happen to see it is Kamakura Pasta Cafe.
From Yokohama to Nagoya, you can find a Kamakura Pasta. We tried it in where else? Kamakura! I’ve seen their place in downtown Yokohama, but I like their Kamakura branch due to their restaurant’s interior.
Kamakura Pasta Cafe: A Carbo Loading Haven
As their name says, this restaurant in Japan specializes in different kinds of pastas. Hence, this is great if you need some break from all the ramen and gyudon you’ve been eating during your trip in Japan. This restaurant chain is also well loved among locals.
Aside from our classic carbonara, here’s what we got.
Light oil and garlic pasta..
Squid Ink pasta
One of the best things about traveling with kids in Japan is the abundance of kids menu. Here’s kid-sized bolognese pasta.
Carbo loading at this restaurant in Japan is not just because about pasta but free bread! Kamakura Pasta is noted for their unlimited bread. They display their bread in one section of the restaurant for diners to freely get.
The Interiors of Kamakura Pasta Cafe
Among other restaurants in Japan, Kamakura Pasta Cafe in Kamakura is memorable due to its impressive interior. Nothing grand or fancy, but a modern Japanese interior.
Upon entering the cafe is a tatami mat waiting area where diners leave their shoes at the small lockers.

As much as I love the food, this restaurant is a reflection on how Japanese blends traditions and trends.
If you happen to be in Kamakura, a popular day trip destination from Tokyo, try dining at Kamakura Pasta Cafe but if you find a nearest brand, enjoy their Japanese-style pastas and unlimited bread.
