P2P Bus Routes from Iloilo Business Park to Iloilo Airport, Kalibo Airport, and Caticlan Airport

I grew up commuting, taking as much as 3 jeepney rides (one way) per day since I was 13. Now, I only take the challenge when I travel outside the country or when I’m with my friends on trips. That’s why it was an adventure when I took the kids with me to Boracay via Ceres Bus.

Even when traveling, I rarely use buses – I prefer trains – simply because I get lost with bus routes and bus stops. I only take Point-to-Point buses as they give me an assurance that I will alight at my destination. Traveling by bus like during my solo travel to Malacca from Singapore or when I brought my family to Juifen, Philippines can have this kind of service.

Today, my dream is slowly revealing as a reality as the Department of Transportation launched their P2P (Point to Point), as part of the PUVMP (Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program). For Western Visayas, LTFRB Region 6 partnered with the country’s leading developer – Megaworld Corporation.

P2P bus services

ILOILO BUSINESS PARK to

  • Iloilo Airport
  • Kalibo Airport
  • Caticlan Airport

Future routes include:

  • Roxas Airport

  • Sara Ceres

  • Roxas Ceres

  • Antique

LTFRB Region 6 will also launch the following PUVs (all auto pay system) starting July 12th.

  • 156 jeepneys
  • 105 P2P buses

Megaworld to Open a P35million Transport Hubs

To support the P2P bus services, property giant, Megaworld will open its Transport Hubs. The transport hubs will have 2 terminals – departure and arrivals- conveniently located right in front of the Festive Walk Mall.

The Transport Hubs are not just terminals with its amenities for the comfort and convenience of passengers.  Amenities and facilities include:

  • A Traveler’s Lounge with shower rooms toilets. At the Departure Terminal, the lounge has its own Ticketing Booths, Breastfeeding Stations, and Wi-Fi access.
  • Food Park
  • 200 parking slots (for free) at the 2nd and 3rd level of each terminal

As a traveler, this project will make our country more accessible. Personally, it will be easier whenever I need to go to the airport without driving or in case I will be flying out to destinations via Kalibo.

During the media preview, the buses are all new. For example the Ceres Bus for provincial routes have charging stations and a comfort room while the Southwest buses for Iloilo Airport route have their sunny yellow seats that can uplift your mood in case you had a bad flight.

For point to point bus fare to Iloilo Airport, fare is at Php80. Please stay tune for the complete rates and schedules of Point to Point Bus services within Western Visayas.

  1. I arrived in Iloilo airport, but no P2P bus.
Next day I go to Megaworld to look for P2P bus, but nothing.
Information doesn’t know when they will start.

  2. Valerie, is the hub operational now?
I am looking to ride the bus from iloilo to Caticlan Airport by the end of october。
Do you know where I can find the fare and schedule?
    Thank you!

  3. HI Michael.

I was at Iloilo Airport, I was informed the P2P Iloilo airport to Caticlan Airport is not yet operation. I will ask at the Ceres terminal if they have direct route from Iloilo to Caticlan. Thank you.

  4. Dear Valerie: Thank you for taking valuable time checking for me! I guess I have to either hire a car or ride the old fashioned Cere bus. My family of 4 people were offered by my hotel to direct transport us to Caticlan Jet Port in a Toyota Altis – P5,780.00 or a Grandia Van – P7,280.00 per way. There is also a tour option to hire same vehicles at P2000~3000 for the first 3 hours, then P600 any additional hours, attractions so we may visit tourist attractions and restaurants along the way. As a local, do you think the prices offered are fair? If we would like to take the tour option, which attractions and restaurants would you personally recommended us to stop by along the way? (The hotel suggested us visiting Sta. Monica Church Panay and Baybay beach Roxas City.) Thank you Valarie once again, I will be in iloilo in three weeks, really excited;)

  5. Hello Mike,

I think the rate for the van hire is fine. Are you going to Boracay? If so, I can’t recommend visiting Roxas City (unless you really want to) because from Iloilo to Caticlan, you will not pass by Roxas – you have to make a right turn or a detour sort of – it might consume some of your time.

Here are some stopovers you might want to check out.
    1. Midway Restaurant in Passi (close every Monday)
    2. Latte Restaurant in Kalibo (same compound as Marzon Hotel)
    3. Jawili Falls in Tangalan, Aklan ( just a little off the national highway going to Caticlan but it is beside the road)

Whenever we go to Boracay, we only stop at Kalibo. I haven’t been there for a while but you might want to check out DE LA CRUZ House of PINA (a showroom of pineapple finer clothing and other crafts).

Hope these help! If you have any questions, feel free to ask me 🙂

    Regards,
    Valerie

  6. Dear Valerie:

Yes, Boracay is our final destination in the upcoming two-week island hopping tour:
    Bohol 4days→Cebu(Oslob+Moalboal) 4days→Iloilo 3days→Boracay 4days.
We have booked mutiple one day private tours or hired drivers for most of the days. The only day we are having trouble planning is the day leaving from Iloilo to Boracay. After seeing your wonderful writings about your home Panay island, we are torn between riding the inexpensively 6 hour long cere bus straight to Caticlan or hiring a car to do a day tour along the way. The delima araised as we are not sure if there is enough spots worth seeing/stopping along the way. Sadly, the foreign travel guides available here all focus on Iloilo and Boracay, leaving us an empty image regarding anything in between. I did read one recommendation from the TripAdvisor site that we may wish to take the clockwise coastal route to enjoy the coastline and avoid the winding mountain route. I would appreciate your local experience~ 🙂

  7. Dear Valerie:
I read the travel log, it does look like a pretty comfy ride.:) With your input, I am now leaning toward taking the air-con bus. I only hope there is more direct bus which does not take too many stops to pick up and unload passengers~ We do not mind paying a bit more for the premium experience.:)

Btw, we are offered two dining options by my day tour company. Would you suggest breakthrough or tatoy’s restaurant for the seafood experience? Any specialties we must try?

  8. Hi Mike,

If you don’t mind paying, maybe it is best for your to charter a van for your group. It will be faster and you can stop anytime you want.

For dining, for me BREAKTHROUGH’s restaurant in Villa is better. I always have their baked oyster, lechon, grilled fish and mangoes. 🙂

  9. Hi! I’m scheduling our trip. How can I get to Iloilo from Caticlan? Can you also give me estimated fare for this? Would really appreciate your assistance. Thank you
