PAREF-Westbridge School participated at the last “Football Para sa Bayan” organized by telecom giant, Globe Telecom with no other than Azkal’s Team Captian Chieffy Caligdong as their sports ambassador. As the only private school for boys in Iloilo, Westbridge School is known for football with its students harnessed not just in school training but in tournaments as part of the school’s drive for holistic excellence.
Held in Santa Barbara, Iloilo last March 8-9, the football tournament was attended by different schools and football clubs across Iloilo, true to the program’s goal of “letting kids enjoy the sport of football regardless of social-economic status”- press release.
Globe’s football tournament was divided into four categories based on age namely under 8, under 10, under 14 and under 16.
Here is our beloved coach, Coach Armand with Westbridge’s Under 8 ( players ages 6-8) team for some serious game plan.
Our Under 10 players kicking, dribbling and passing the ball for victory.
If your child is interested in football or you want to introduce your son to the sport, enroll your child to PAREF Westbridge.
Here is Azkal Team Captain Chieffy, signing our litte futbolistas’ uniforms. He also gave inspiring speeches to the boys and to the football moms who are always on the sideline for a pending pitch invasion.
Signed!
Under the scorching heat of the sun, football tournaments are not just a school activity, they are family affairs, just like other games.
Siblings always tag along, as cheerleaders for life and future ball kickers themselves. Of course, they know how to entertain themselves while waiting for their brothers’ games.
Thank you Globe and good job to PAREF Westbridge School family – as always. Till our next game!
