Quick and Easy Pork Giniling Recipe

Before this pandemic happened, I always have ground pork in the fridge. Why? They are great for quick cooking. I always cook my version of picadillo, meatballs, and even fried rice. Ground pork is one ingredient that is best for quick meals just like my easy pork giniling dish.

Even with all our time while quarantined, let me share one of my favorite recipes. I love eating this and I can devour at least 2 cups of rice.

Here’s my version and my Pork Giniling recipe.

Ingredients for Pork Giniling

ground pork ( I used 300 grams for this)

oil

garlic

onions

1 potato ( small diced)

1 carrot ( small diced)

raisins

green peas

Tomato paste

pepper, fish sauce and soy sauce to taste

I usually add bell peppers but I just learned I don’t have any. Also, the raisins is my own version to make it more of Picadillo style.

How to Cook Pork Giniling, my Picadillo recipe

1. Sautee onion and garlic

2. Add ground pork

3. After 3 minutes, add the potatoes

4. Fry ground pork and potatoes for 5 minutes. Stir the pan to fry the other side of the meat.

5. Add the carrots.

6. After 2 or 3 minutes, add the peas, raisins.

7. Season with soy sauce, fish sauce, and black pepper

8. Add the tomato paste. Add a little water to the pan to dilute the tomato paste. Adjust to your taste.

9. Garnish with chopped scallions.

Enjoy!

This dish is not just savory, but this is one of those you need to learn how to cook if you’re looking for 15-minute meals. I was done cooking in less than 15 minutes.

To save time, slice the spices and the potatoes first. Then slice the carrots in between adding the ground pork and the potatoes. Just like how the chefs do it!

Hope you enjoy this recipe!
