Visita Iglesia in Negros on Mabuhay Magazine April 2011 issue

What a title huh? hehe. Sorry, I can’t think of another way of presenting my entry for today. If you have been reading my blog ( hopefully) or looking into my portfolio ( for potential clients who would like to hire my service as a freelance writer), you may have noticed that I have contributed more than once to Mabuhay Magazine.

For those who don’t have any idea what Mabuhay Magazine is, it is the in-flight magazine of Philippine Airlines. As Asia’s first airline, this magazine has a readership population of up to half a million monthly. Talking about exposure!

Call me a hypocrite but I write to this magazine to promote destinations that are often neglected my both travelers and tourists. I have a degree in History from the University of the Philippines so this may support my advocacy to local tourism.

Here is their cover for April 2011 issue with CamSur( Camarines Sur), Philippine’s Adventure Capital..

For their April issue, Negros Occidental is one of their featured destinations. And in jive with the season of lent, a Visita Iglesia in Sugarlandia is one great summer activity.

Together with my husband who is my photographer and sons ( no yayas in tow), we traveled around Negros as my eldest learn about how sugarcane is made into sugar for Mama’s coffee. How sweet of him!

My article on pages 36 and 38 with its Chinese translation on page 39.

Yes, this is not my first time contributing for Mabuhay Magazine. This is my third time to be exact. Three published articles in a row. How is that for a travel writer? Please don’t see me as a boastful person. I think if you in my shoes and a freelance writer, you will also be ecstatic to contribute in a magazine like Mabuhay.
