I am one of the millions of people who love to drink coffee..and living in Asia where tea is more preferred, coffee is well-embraced in my country. And working as a freelance writer, sipping coffee makes my day.
There is its certain tang and relaxing effect whenever I sip my coffee. I can finish 3-4 cups each day and I just love it especially if I have many deadlines to meet for my freelance writing.
My dad told me that the word ” aroma” is specifically for coffee only. And indeed, its aroma or distinct smell sets it apart from other drinks. Even me, a freelance writer, I can’t think of another adjective that could place this drink on its pedestal.
Coffee took a long way from the original plant in LAtin America and Ethopia; different countries like in Indonesia have their own special coffee plant that result to a unique blend. harvested, roasted and brewed coffee is simply my ambrosia.
On my part, I love our own “native” coffee which was grounded with anise wine and egg shells. As a result, it has this unique flavor and aroma during roasting and when served.
But whatever it is, I just love to have my black cofee on my working table…
