To recuperate from the hassle of our everyday lives, a soothing massage and a beautifying treatment can revive our tired souls. With every massage and facial salons in almost every street and corners in the country, they are not created equal.
I’m a snob when it comes to massages and spas. If relaxation is what I look for, I’d rather have a good nap or sleep till 9am. Sometimes, just writing for my blog keeps me sane. Sad to say, many spa services don’t match my expectations from cleanliness to the skills of their therapists.
Finally, I found a spa, a medical spa in my adopted city of Iloilo. Skinetics Wellness Center is highly recommended for those who want the best pampering in the city. I love the medical approach of their team, not just pure beauty.
The reception desk. They will assess thoroughly from your medical history to preference. During my visit, I noted my sensitivity to scents and I can only handle soft pressure but must focus on my shoulder blade areas.
Lounge and sit on Kenneth Cobonpue creations while waiting.
This welcomed me as I was ushered to another floor for my treatment.
Skinetic’s room for facials. Very world-class.
The massage area. Take note of the patadyong. A nice hint of Ilonggo style.
I had the Lutay, an Ilonggo massage that is best for those who are very exhausted like me. My therapist told me it is best for those who is about to have flu.
Lutay make use of buyo leaves and fire to “suck” those toxins out of your body.
I had the privilege to enjoy the 2-hour ( length depends on your assessment) massage in the Couple’s Room.
Complete with a Jacuzzi..
They also have rooms and suites. Perfect for staycation.
Marking international standard in every nook, I am proud that Iloilo has a medical spa like Skinetics Wellness Center. Customized services and highly competent and certified therapists, this is the place to enjoy your own space of pampering while in Iloilo.
As the only spa in the Philippines nominated for 2012, ” Medi-Spa of the Year” under their belt, Skinetics is one true vanguard for Iloilo’s medical tourism. Kudos to Dr Yule Quimpang and to the rest of Skinetics family.
Skinetics offers a wide range of heath and wellness services from Kids Spa to hydrocolonics.
