Are you asking yourself where to stay in Dumaguete? I have stayed in different hotels in Dumaguete and there are a few that I can recommend especially for traveling families. One of them is Florentina Homes.
I booked my weekend with my tribe..multi-generation travel with my kids, husband, parents and brother. Whew! When it comes to travel accommodations, I personally prefer self-catering apartments or suites where I can prepare food or feed my kids anytime they want.

Our place for this hotel in Dumaguete has two rooms. One has a single bed and the other has twin beds. Here’s my mother, enjoying her room for the weekend in Dumaguete. She loves the cozy ambiance but hesitant to “ruin” the room. haha!
Very airy and lots of natural lightning — one of the things I love about this place. Look at this dining and furnished kitchen! Utensils, stove, fridge and goodies (not complimentary) waiting for us to use. The kitchen and dining connects to the laundry area.
You know how expensive food can be if you are in a group. With kids, staying in accommodations like this let me save big bucks and I love it when my mother cooks for me!

Florentina Homes is situated in a residential area in Dumaguete. You can see them all from this small patio also serving as a smoking area. Did a little writing in this space with cool breeze. This accommodation in Dumaguete has wi-fi – perfect for traveling writers like me!
If you want to skip cooking, there is a nice restaurant which was just below our unit. You can eat in the restaurant or just have it as “room service”. Another amenity that we love is their pool because only few people swim there.
Floretina Homes Dumaguete is really your home away from home. I would like to highlight for this review on Florentina Homes Dumaguete that it is not located in the city center. Dumaguete is a small city and you can reach the city center in less than 10 minutes. If you don’t have a car, you need to hail a tricycle ( no taxis) still, I recommend this place to stay in Dumaguete.
Another thing, which is in our case is the stairs though some units are located on the ground floor. So if you don’t trust your kids or one of your group members have mobility issues, request for units on the ground floor.
