Lobby and Checking in
We arrived late at night in Tagaytay and it was nice to arrive in a homey lobby. Homey and not intimidating that you can just drop your big bottom on their oversized sofa while checking-in. Their lobby also has plenty of Instagrammable spots.
Fast check-in. Front desk officers and staff are all attentive and cheerful throughout our stay.
Our room
Can’t help but think that my boys will surely love the towel folding. Rooms have enough space, with fridge and plenty of places for me to scatter my things. haha! They don’t have a hair dryer but just one call to the front desk and they sent it right away. Wi-fi was fast, great for us who continuously updating our social media throughout the trip.
We had a short tour around the hotel, checking different rooms. For those who love to indulge and some privacy, One Tagaytay has suite rooms that can house 4-6 guests including a penthouse suite.
One Tagaytay Place’s Amacena
Dining at Amacena, I can say it is one of the hotel’s top assets. It is cozy with rich wood interior and elegant tablewares -it’s like dining in your rich Tita’s house. haha. Seriously, the food was great. Gong beyond the usual Bulalo, Amacena served this. Oh la la!
Staff were also patient to our group. Plus, they serve us regional dishes for us Visayan guests to enjoy. When you’re a blogger, it’s hard to miss their food presentation and other details.
Breakfast at Amacena. Writing this makes me miss their homemade corned beef. I love their wooden bowls and wood charger plates.
Location
Another thing that I like about One Tagaytay Place Hotel Suites is their location. I’ve been to Tagaytay twice and so far, I like how it is located a little bit on the other side of where most touristy areas are. I urged by fellow Iloilo bloggers for a morning walk to enjoy Tagaytay’s cool weather and it was a nice experience to observe local life.
We passed by schools, churches and the popular Tagaytay Picnic Grove. One of my best moments to see Taal Lake early morning before tourists start coming and to enjoy a morning walk – thanks to the One Tagaytay’s location.
As I often travel with my family, I find it nice that this hotel in Tagaytay has a 7-Eleven store in front along with ATM Machines. If you travel a lot with kids, you know these stores are great help for parents.
Other facilities
For a mid-range hotel, One Place Tagaytay Hotel & Suites provide amenities and facilities at par to those of luxury hotels. They have a lot of function rooms from small groups to big banquets. Again, speaking of kids, they have a rooftop pool that includes a kiddie pool.
I was surprised how big and spacious their spa is! Sorry for the dark image. Needless to say, I like how much space they allot for their guests’ relaxing spa experience. After a day of exploring Tagaytay, would it be nice to knead those tired muscles with a good massage?
