I’ve originally planned to travel solo for my birthdays. I started out last year when I went to Singapore and Malacca but, just like most plans, this year was low-key. I don’t have the luxury of time and money to travel for at least 4 days in the middle of a school year with no full-time helper.
My remedy was to enjoy a staycation instead. Ask any mother and they will tell you they want free day for special occasions like birthdays. A staycation for me just sleep in and will not check my emails. This time, I will be bringing the whole family yet still enjoying my space.
To the rescue…. Days Hotel Iloilo’s family room. My mommy friends have confided how challenging it is to book rooms with a bigger family. Now that my kids are growing big, the usual room becomes crowded for all of us. We also love traveling with my parents, and it is way better if we stay in one bedroom or those similar to service-type apartments.
Add the fact that there are only few hotels with family rooms, let alone in Iloilo. Finally, Days Hotel has special rooms for big groups and families. They currently have two family rooms accommodating up to six guests. The family rooms used to be one of their suite rooms.
Our family room has two twin-sized beds and one double-sized bed and a king-sized bed.

He wanted to have the room for himself since there are three beds for me, my husband, and kid1. What a rascal!
I love how I had some peaceful time reading birthday greetings and just snoring away inside the bedroom while the rest of my tribe, have their own thing. The morning after, I spent watching Mona Lisa Smile. The family room by the way has two TVs.

A kitchen area complete with utensils ( from forks to bowls), microwave oven, and a big fridge. A big help for families who want to save money from their meals. Seriously, I’d rather eat outside. Atrium Mall ( where Days Hotel is located) has plenty of food choices.
If you want space, this is the room you should book when in Iloilo.
Perfect for families with older children or if you are traveling as a group in Iloilo. Rates for Family Rooms starts at Php5,000 inclusive of breakfast.
