From the serene scene at Lake Sebu devouring tilapia, Lake Sebu lures those with more adrenaline in their bodies with its 7 falls. Traverse its jungle up in the air riding the zipline. As I am forever doomed to be a walking couch, I prefer the placid nature of the falls.
Seven falls in a place with three lakes and that is Lake Sebu. From the resort, we went to the famous Seven Falls. Just a short drive from the main road…
There are two falls for visitors to check out – the Hikong Alu and the Hikong Bente. “Hikong” in T’Boli means, “falls”. We went first to Hikong Alu of the 3rd Falls which is just 5 minutes walking downhill from the entrance. Its steward is the Dongon family, that’s why some people call it “Dongon Falls”.
I love this stream, I washed my muddy feet here. Love the feeling!
I took this shot from a small bridge.
Hikong Alu. “Alu” means “passage” and it stands 35 feet. The closest you can get to
I took a video just for you to have an idea of what the place was like. Pardon the content, this is more of a personal video with Agnes and her husband, Glenn. haha!
So now let’s go to Falls #2 which is called Hikong Bente. It is 400 meters away from Hikong Alu (3rd Falls) so you need to ride to get there faster. Here it is from the entrance.
Meet Thirdy, Glenn’s cousin. Nice boy to bring my gadgets. haha!
A little hike
Till you reach this Japanese-like little bridge
Hikong Bente..”Bente” means ” immeasurable”. It stands 70 ft.
Dramatic landscape with these canyons..
The canyons and the ravine of Lake Sebu. Beautiful.
Here’s an other video. Forgive me for the “fall”s. haha! Just bear with me on this..this is really a self-inflicted torture sharing with you. haha!
Lake Sebu is Philippines’ unchartered destination yet, it is one of Mindanao’s muses. Relaxing and amazing, Lake Sebu will be one of my favorite destinations.
